Dr. Fekadu Senbeta, DNP-BC,LLM
Dr. Fekadu embodies a dedication to excellence and a passion for social progress. With a distinguished background spanning law and mental health, Dr. Fekadu has been at the forefront of transformative change in both arenas.
Having earned his LLB and postgraduate certificate from The Judges and Prosecutors Training Center in Ethiopia, Dr. Fekadu continued his academic journey in the United States, securing an LLM in Comparative International Law from the University of San Diego. His commitment to advancing legal systems across Africa was recognized through his selection as the inaugural scholarship recipient of the Africa Justice Foundation, founded by none other than Tony Blair’s wife.
Transitioning seamlessly into the realm of mental health, Dr. Fekadu recently graduated with a Doctorate in Psychiatric Mental Health Practice from the esteemed University of Washington in Seattle. This interdisciplinary background uniquely positions him to address the complex needs of individuals within our community.
As a valuable addition to the African Union Community Transformation Corporation, Dr. Fekadu brings a wealth of experience and insight. His expertise in international law and psychiatric mental health practice is instrumental in crafting innovative solutions to promote justice and wellness on a global scale.

Solomon Kumbi
Solomon earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University. He has performed many tasks in Civil Engineering filed as well as community services. Solomon gained his Engineering internship experience with the California Department of Transportation in Construction and Design Division. Now he is currently working as a Project Engineer for the City of San Diego. Solomon also worked for the San Diego Unified School District as a substitute teacher, tutor and mentor.

Yonas Alemu
Yonas Alemu, born and raised in Ethiopia, is a co-founder with a remarkable background. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from UCSD and went on to complete his Master’s in Aerospace Engineering at UMD. Yonas has been an invaluable asset to the Department of Defense (DoD), where his expertise in aerospace engineering has played a pivotal role in supporting various defense platforms. Beyond his professional achievements, Yonas is a dedicated community organizer and a responsible individual. He has tirelessly worked to empower and uplift the Ethiopian community, organizing events, providing mentorship, and advocating for social causes. Yonas’ leadership and unwavering commitment have left a profound impact on the lives of many, earning him the admiration and gratitude of those he serves.

Dr. Anteneh Woldeselassie, DNP-BC
Dr. Anteneh boasts over a decade of invaluable experience in the field of psychiatric and behavioral health, honing his skills through years of hands-on practice. His journey to excellence culminated in the prestigious halls of the University of Washington, where he proudly earned his Doctorate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2024.
With a profound dedication to patient care and a boundless enthusiasm for his work, Dr. Anteneh embodies the qualities of an exceptional leader. Throughout his career, he has held pivotal roles within drug and alcohol recovery centers, including that of an Infection Preventionist. His commitment to promoting health and wellness extends beyond professional boundaries, as he generously volunteers his time and expertise at various community events.
Dr. Anteneh’s relentless determination, unwavering dedication, and unyielding perseverance have propelled him to the esteemed position of Behavioral Health Outreach Program Director and Coordinator at the African Union Community Transformation Corporation. In this role, he continues to make a profound impact on communities, families, and individuals, fostering healing and empowerment through his tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to excellence.
Country Director, Ethiopia
Lemessa Demie Anbessa
As the newly appointed Country Director for Ethiopia at the African Union Community Transformation Corporation, I am thrilled to bring my extensive experience and educational background to this important role. With over 15 years of experience in project management, monitoring & evaluation, disaster risk reduction, livelihoods, and food security, I am deeply committed to leveraging my expertise for the benefit of our mission in Ethiopia.
My academic journey has been foundational to my career. I hold an Advanced Master of Science in Development and Governance from the Institute of Development Policy and Management (IOB) at Antwerp University in Belgium. Additionally, I earned a Master of Science in Social Anthropology and a BA Degree in History from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. My education has been further enriched by professional training, including a Professional Competence Certificate from the Ethiopian Management Institute and various courses in Geo-Enabling initiative for Monitoring & Supervision, Advanced Monitoring and Evaluation of Projects, Project Management, and Financial Management, among others.
Throughout my career, I have worked with international NGOs such as CARE International, Oxfam GB, and CORDAID in South Sudan, as well as with the World Bank, UNICEF, and UNDP. My experience extends to working with the government of Ethiopia, where I have coordinated and managed the implementation of integrated programs focusing on resilience and recovery, livelihoods and food security, and water and sanitation sectors. My work in both conflict and post-conflict environments, and in different cultural settings, has equipped me with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in these areas.
As Country Director, I aim to apply my extensive skills in project design, planning, and monitoring, while strengthening the capacity of our partners. My background in facilitating community and staff level trainings will be instrumental in building robust and impactful programs. I am also keen to continue my work in proposal writing and strategic program development.
